‘Āhuimanu celebrated the recent openings of two iconic Kaua‘i eateries, helping cement the center’s growing reputation as a foodie destination.
Avalon Gastropub: The opening of Avalon Gastropub marked a homecoming for Ali and Gabe Avalon, who are part of the Kīlauea community. Their popular eatery-and-craft bar in Waipouli has relocated to ‘Āhuimanu and now occupies a 2,100-square-foot space with a large lanai, allowing them to offer indoor and outdoor seating options.
Kenji Burger: Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” Kenji Burger is renowned for its 100% Kaua‘i grass-fed beef burgers and fresh sushi-roll burritos. It is located across Java Kai and is the fourth location for the popular island eatery — and the only one on the North Shore.
‘Āhuimanu, fully leased as of mid-2022, is home to a variety of restaurants, retail and community services. Most of them are established Kaua‘i businesses seeking outlets on the North Shore. The 42,000-square-foot center is anchored by the 12,700-square-foot Kīlauea Market + Café.
