Hunt Capital Partners’ John Lee, managing director of investor relations and funds management, was a featured speaker at Novogradac’s 2026 Fall Affordable Housing Conference in mid-September at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort. Lee was part of a panel on the low-income housing tax credit titled “Inside Federal LIHTC Equity.”
Novogradac’s annual multi-day conference allows nationwide experts in affordable housing and real estate financing to connect and learn how to deliver and preserve affordable rental homes.
As Hunt’s tax-credit syndication division, Hunt Capital Partners has built a deep understanding of development in the islands since its founding in 2010. HCP’s Hawai‘i portfolio currently spans 25 developments with 12 developer partners. Together, those projects have delivered 1,889 new or renovated affordable homes in every county statewide, providing housing for approximately 5,976 island residents.
“Syndication of low-income housing tax credits is incredibly complicated, but we are honored to share the knowledge that we have gained from working in Hawai‘i for these past 16 years,” explained Lee.
In October, Lee will be a featured speaker addressing the Hawai‘i chapter of Financial Executives International.
