Hunt Companies Hawai‘i, Its Leaders Support Maui and Other Local Communities in 2023

June 20, 2024

Hunt Companies Hawai‘i is as committed to giving back to the community as it is to creating new communities.

Maui has been in Hunt’s thoughts since the deadly fires of August 2023. To date, giving by Hunt and its affiliates has exceeded $250,000 to the Maui Strong Fund and other initiatives, including direct financial support to affected Lahaina residents.

Beyond Maui relief, the Hawai‘i development division sponsored some 45 local nonprofits to the tune of $135,000 in 2023 primarily in the areas of education, the environment and protecting Hawai‘i’s heritage.

The Hunt Hawai‘i executive leadership team serves on approximately 15 local nonprofit boards of directors and participates in 30 Hawai‘i organizations.

Paul Kay, Executive Vice President of Hunt Hawai‘i, currently serves on two nonprofit boards and participates in other public service. Since 2021, Paul has served on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Hawai‘i, which helps individuals gain skills they need to find employment.

Paul shares, “I encourage everyone in Hawai‘i to give what they can in time, energy and, if possible, funds; together, we can make this an even better place to live.”
