Kalaeloa Town Attracts Fitness-and-Fun Community with Family-Friendly Bubble Run

December 17, 2025

Kalaeloa Town was a particular hive of activity on October 11, when the area hosted the Bubble Run for the very first time.

The Bubble Run started and finished at a vibrant site adjacent to Hunt’s Kalaeloa Professional Center — the fully occupied, 50,000-square-foot office building on Saratoga Avenue. On race day, the area transformed into a hub of celebration, featuring live entertainment, refreshments and approximately 7,000 colorful participants proudly donning their custom finisher shirts with the Kalaeloa Town logo.

Bubble runs are 5K family-friendly races with foam stations that create walls of colorful bubbles that shower participants in non-toxic, eco-friendly suds.

Located entirely in Kalaeloa Town, the 5K Bubble Run took racers along Saratoga Avenue and through Copahee Avenue — passing Hunt’s Kalaeloa Professional Center, the Ka‘ulu by Gentry community, Wākea Garden Apartments and Barbers Point Elementary School.

Strollers and wagons ensure that even the youngest keiki can be in on the fun at a bubble run. A portion of the proceeds support research, funding and treatment for childhood cancer and terminal illnesses.
