Sway Island Living Opens at Kaua‘i’s ‘Āhuimanu Neighborhood Center

October 6, 2022

The Sway Island Living homewares-and-lifestyle store recently opened its doors at ‘Āhuimanu, the 42,000 square-foot neighborhood center on the North Shore of Kaua‘i.

Sway Island Living, a sister operation to Sway Hanalei, offers island-inspired furniture, homewares and art, as well as apparel, accessories and beauty products. The 2,150 square-foot boutique is located next to the real estate company Hawai‘i Life.

‘Āhuimanu features a mix of businesses and community services. Anchored by the 12,700 square-foot grocery store-restaurant Kīlauea Market + Café, tenants are mainly established Kaua‘i companies expanding their operations from other parts of the island to better serve customers on the North Shore or new local entrepreneurs.

As of June 2022, ‘Āhuimanu is fully leased, despite the economic challenges and disruptions over the past 2.5 years of the pandemic.

In the coming months, ‘Āhuimanu will also welcome a number of other exciting eateries and boutiques:

Avalon Gastropub, the popular eatery and craft bar in Kapa‘a that is re-locating to ‘Āhuimanu. Expected opening: late 2022.

Kenji Burger, opening the fourth location for the popular island eatery – and the only one on the North Shore. Expected opening: late 2022.

Let Love BLOOM boutique featuring sustainable clothing in the styles and fabrics that are meant to last a lifetime. Expected opening: late 2022.
